Nneka Ezenwa Chiazor (‘Nek’ as she is fondly called) launched Aphropolitan in September 2011 – a new international fashion barnd that celebrates her love of art, music, culture and travel. Nneka incorporated those ideas into her international fashion brand that celebrates its Nigerian heritage while appealing to today’s modern, cultured, jet-stting woman. Under her direction, Aphropolitan was the first African retailer to secure distribution with National Geographic and is currently working to establish similar partnerships with the Smithsonian Institute, Target, and other socially responsible corporations.
